Maintenance, Enhancement Projects, and Production Support delivered at our Onsite and Offshore Development Centres

We, at GCS have years of association with companies from all over the world through our ongoing Production Support, Maintenance and Enhancements of Systems across our onsite and offshore development centres. In any automated and computerized setup, maintaining and enhancing the existing applications is of prime importance. This involves round the clock support services for mainframe applications, operations, database management services, development of tools, automation of routine operations and bug fixing. This ensures a smooth operation of the client business operations. We facilitate this by providing support from our onsite as well as offshore development centres.

Methodology

Over the years,GCS has evolved a two-phase Remote Maintenance Model (RMM) that ensures responsiveness and productivity coupled with reduced costs. We make this possible due to our expertise of our trained consultants based at our onsite and offshore development centres.

System Familiarization Phase: Our consultants study the business applications jointly with the client and develop a detailed project plan. Subsequently, a core onsite team provides 'Level 1' production support. Simultaneously, a large team based at our offshore development centers execute routine maintenance activities such as modifications, enhancements and troubleshooting along with rigorous testing, over a dedicated satellite link. For the cross-continent client, this means "Round-the-clock" support- Solutions ready before "the Day" starts. We adopt this methodology at our worldwide onsite as well as offshore development centers


Take Over Phase (TOP): This phase involves transfer of responsibility to on us for complete support activities. With routine functions now off-loaded to our offshore development centres, the client resources can be freed for other strategic functions. In this phase, we develop a complete mechanism of recording and tracking of changes. Gaps, if any, in the documentation are rebuilt at this stage. An accurate cross-reference matrix for further changes is created that result in increased productivity.
